St. Robert Bellarmine Church takes great pride in the quality of Religious Education which we are able to offer to our young parishioners.  The program includes Grades K (Kindergarten) through Grade 10.  It not only prepares our young people to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Penance) and Holy Eucharist in Grade 2, but continues that instruction throughout grades 9 and 10 to include preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Our twofold goal is : 1) to instill in the minds of these children a sound foundation in their Catholic faith and 2) to fill their hearts with the love of God and neighbor.

Our enrollment fluctuates between 400 - 500 students each year and class size is always kept to less than 15 students per teacher because we believe that small classes can be more productive and easier to handle.

The Teachers in our program are all volunteers and come from all walks of life:  most are parents with children in the program;  some are parents whose children have completed the program, but they continue to assist us;  some are High School or College students who have apprenticed with the experienced teachers and, after their own Confirmation, have returned to help us pass on the "Good News to others.  The total number of teachers on staff varies from 60 - 75 with 10 - 12 substitutes available whenever the need arises.  Summer training sessions and workshops enable us to offer assistance and encouragement to all our teachers.

Registration forms are mailed to all school age children in grades K through 10 in March.  Prompt update of this information and return of these forms enables us to plan more effectively for the next year.  Any new parishioners, or anyone who does not receive these forms, should call the Parish Office.
